   Due to the credit crunch/recession, the Council has dropped its level of subsidizing so First Bus has dropped several bus routes like hot bricks. So if my friend who lives on the number 7 route wants to travel anywhere on a Sunday, she’ll have to use the car. She’s disabled, so walking isn’t an option.
   First really, really, really needs some more competition. The U-Buses set up by UWE obviously didn’t frighten them enough.

   I agree. Where they have the competition they visibly raise their game.
