   Oh what a palaver! I completely sympathise. I’ve just re-installed XP on my baby Vaio and spent several hours hunting down the relevant drivers and reloading them to get back my power management functions and restore its wifi functionality. avg loaded, now I have to pick up Adobe and all the little things you forget you’ve got. It’s an incentive to buy the full WinDVD though as I’ve lost the free pre-loaded version. 😉

   Ick. So it’s not just Toshiba, then? I’ve not had too many problems with my Vaio, but it’s not a baby one.
